The Ted and Rand Schaal Aquatics Center is an Olympic size competitive, special-use pool that extends 65 meters long by 25 yards wide. The concept of building an Olympic size competitive pool originated with a $1 million donation to UC Davis from Rand Schaal, a former UC Davis student and Geology Instructor, and his father, Ted Schaal.
